Bifrost MCP Extension

Bifrost MCP is a browser extension that connects AI coding assistants to your browser through the Model Context Protocol. In local mode, communication occurs between the extension and a server running on your machine.

Data Collection and Use

The extension accesses tab URLs and titles to identify and switch between browser tabs. It can also access page content to capture screenshots, DOM snapshots, and extracted text when requested by the user.

User interactions such as clicks, typing, and form filling are performed only as directed by the connected AI agent. Network requests may be monitored on the active tab for debugging and browser automation workflows.

All data remains local. The extension communicates only with a localhost WebSocket server running on your machine. No data is transmitted to external servers, cloud services, or third parties while using local mode.

Data Storage

User settings, workflow definitions, and session history are stored locally in browser extension storage. No extension data is stored on remote servers for the local browser automation flow.

Third-Party Sharing

We do not sell, transfer, or share user data with third parties.
